Mike Studer is the president and co-owner of NWRA. “I am proud of what we have created at NWRA. Our staff includes master clinicians that are exceptional people. It is a pleasure to treat patients alongside them.”
Mike has been the vice-president of the American Physical Therapy Association’s Neurology Section and has been chair of three different special interest groups at a national level. He has been board-certified as a Clinical Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy since 1995 and has published over 26 articles and 4 book chapters on topics ranging from cognitive rehabilitation, stroke, balance, Parkinson’s and health policy. He has been an invited speaker at many universities, national and international venues since 1992, lecturing in every state during this span.
Mike holds the distinction as being the only PT in the US to be recognized with the national award for clinical excellence in two different categories: neurology and geriatrics.
On a personal note, Mike is an avid tennis player, triathlete and marathoner; a father of three, and a proud sponsor of many local Salem-area charities with his wife, Diane.
