A Day to Rehabilitate Hunger – “wrap up”

We held and successfully completed our first of what is projected to be an annual “Rehabili-thon” as the clinic remained open for their Marion Polk Food Share (MPFS) fundraiser entitled “A Day to Rehabilitate Hunger”. The clinic opened at 7am on Thursday, May 2 and saw patients through the evening, closing their fundraiser with the last patients leaving at 7:15 Friday morning. During the evening, the co-sponsor businesses: Trader Joe’s, Java Crew, and 1-Day Signs provided food, drink and advertising. Conservative estimates include over 70# of food and more than $1500 from patient donations and proceeds of the clinic’s Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy visits during this 24 hour period.
