NWRA is proud to offer a Physical Therapist developed, attended, modified, supervised and directed wellness center in our Geriatric/Neurologic facility located at 3270 Liberty Rd S.

This program is available for discharged patients from skilled PT services AND for those looking for a safe place to receive:

Sports and Orthopedics

Rene’e James, MPT, OCS, CMP leads our sports and orthopedics program with fellow clinicians Anna Perry, PT, DPT; and Bailey Denno, PT, DPT. Together, these exceptional therapists bring the special skills that NWRA embodies – specialist care with a personal touch! With our state of the art clinic, including the area’s only underwater treadmill, Rene’e, Anna and Bailey examine and treat everyone from the high school athlete after ACL repair to the individual recovering just days after a hip replacement. Mike Studer, PT, MHS, NCS, CEEAA, Margaret Smith, SLP, Trisha Ostrander, OTD, CHT and Brady Whetten, PT, DPT, GCS are frequently involved in the athlete that has sustained a concussion – through local physicians and our OHSU concussion connection with Dr. James Chestnutt. The Geriatric Wellness Center and Northwest Rehabilitation Associates are pleased to announce our partnership in this 10-week memory enhancement course. This revolutionary approach to cognitive enhancement will include both cognitive and physical exercise that will be facilitated by trained professionals. We promote a combination of interventions to exercise and strengthen minds through the use of clinically tested and scientifically supported interventions.

These one-hour sessions will be fun, interesting, and challenging. Classes are only $10 per session and do not require an MD referral. Participants will:

  • Exercise different parts of their brain
  • Improve their ability to make new memories
  • Reduce their risk for falls
  • Make new connections in their brain
  • Engage in fun and challenging cognitive activities
